Sick kids on Spring Break

First we had a big change in our lives... Reed got a new job at OCI. It is a mine for Trona. What is trona? well it is in a ton of stuff that we use and need ever day, google it:)
It was a very hard and scary decision but he applied and interviewed and got the job!
We are excited for him just sad that life as we know it will change, hopefully for the good.

Last week my poor baby got hand foot and mouth sickness. He was so sad and miserable. Then last Wednesday after being soooo careful Chandler starts showing signs of it. Dang it! So I kept him home from school Thursday and luckily as of Friday Spring Break starts.
Trying to keep my kids and this sickness away from everyone else is not easy. And it sucks for spring break, but we are trying to make our own fun.

Friday they made puppets and put on many very cool shows. Some of which got a little violent and the whole stage came down.

Latter we had a picnic outside even though it was a little cold. It did warm up for the weekend and we played outside all Saturday and Sunday. We even got sunburned.

Then wouldn't you know it but we woke up Monday morning to snow! So we had to come up with something to get the energy out. An obstacle course was just the ticket. On your mark, get set, GO!
First you pick a funny hat, put it on and crawl under the table,

Climb over the couches,
ride the bike around the chairs, around the island, around the chairs again back to the stairs,

pick a scarf and put it on, run up the stairs,

frog jump over the pillows to moms room,

roll over the bed,

frog hop back over the pillows down the hall and put on a jacket,

run into the boys room and build a tower with the blocks,

Blow the balloon through the kid cave,

Run back to the stairs get in the sleeping bag and slide to the finish line.

They both did it a couple times beating their own scores. Then mom and Beckham even did it. Thanks to Chandler for the lovely pics.

Wow I was even a little tired after that one.
After they were a little tired we sat down and watched the Muppet Movie with some popcorn and candy.
Two days down and lots to go.

Wow! You guys are so creative! I think the obstacle course is an awesome idea, just don't know if I could sell it at our house....maybe I'll try to think of a girly one :)

Very fun. You are great to make your spring break fun while having to stay at home. I have not thought of very many fun things since we are stuck at home too, I will use the new baby as my excuse :)
