I saw this idea to plant seed in baskets for Easter and then the kids have real grass on Easter that you can put their eggs in or you can just do it for decoration like a center piece on the table. I found the seed, Wheatgrass seed, I had to order it off the internet which I have a tone left over if anyone wants some. But we planted it for Family Home Evening one night and talked about the mustard seed and faith. Also Grandma and Grandpa Daniels sent some little planters with seeds for them to plant and we did those also.
The boys liked helping and each day they check on all their plants.
All the seeds are growing fast so I think you still have time to plant them.
This was a pic of Day 3 and already their are little sprouts coming out of the ground.
This is today, day 4 and we are having success!!!
Every Wednesday Deegan sees Chandler go to play group and this week he got to go to a Birthday Party with Camden. He was so upset that he doesn't get to go cuz he thinks that he is big like the other kids. I feel bad for him. But this week he got to go to a party that Chandler didn't get to go to. They had an Easter Nursery Party for the nursery kids. He was excited. Jen took Camden and Deegan and I stayed home with Chandler and Cawas.
They made bunny hats with ears. This is him putting stickers on and decorating them.
Then they each got a bag and went into the Chapel and found Easter Eggs.
They look so cute in their hats. Then they went and had a little treat. They had a good time. I think Deegan thought that he was special. Thanks to those who put it all together it meant a lot to Deegan!Sorry I should have done a couple different blogs but I decided to just do one big one. I saw a craft for the kids on Family Fun. We made caterpillars last week while dad was gone.
I got the foam at the dollar store and cut little circles and punched a hole in the middle. We took a foam ball and made a head with eyes and attached it to the pipe cleaner. Then the boys strung the circles down the pipe cleaner for the body.We added anteani and a fuzz ball for a tail. The boys liked them and they play with them. I hot glued everything so it would stay.
They turned out really cute.
In the process of getting all the Easter stuff out I found these Bunny Ears. This bottom picture was the first one I took of Deegan and he wasn't very happy that I made him keep them on for a pic. I love this picture it makes me laugh. Chandler's head was too big or I would have made him wear them too!
