I learned a lesson the last couple of mornings. Don't sleep in when your kids are awake, cuz you don't know what they are doing. No, this is not blood. Saturday morning Chandler woke up early and wanted cereal so I told him to go get some and I would be down in a minute. I fell back to sleep, hey don't judge it was Saturday morning! But he came back waking me up and had red all over his face. I freaked cuz I thought it was blood. I asked what was it and he said yucky stuff he ate downstairs so I ran downstairs trying to figure out what it was. When I came down the stairs I saw red spit spots all over my kitchen floor, it looked like blood too. But it all ended up being koolaide! He actually opened a package of koolaide dumped it in his bowl and started eating it. I am almost, almost sure he will never do that again but really you just never know!I guess I am just a bad parent so this morning both the kids woke up again and me and Reed slept in. Latter we woke up with Deegan crying a painful cry. Chandler comes in and tells me that Deegan got hurt cuz he(chandler) was cutting off Deegan's flag. Meaning Deegan's tag on his pj's. Sure enough Chandler got the scissors out of the drawer and actually did a really good job of cutting Deegan's tag off of his pj's that he was still wearing. But Deegan did get scratched on the neck, just a little one. It could have been so much worse. Lesson learned Don't Sleep in When Your Kids Are Awake Someone Could get Killed!!!
On a better note I finished a couple of things this weekend. I cleaned the upstairs closet, boys bathroom, and the laundry room. The only thing left other then keep up is my room and bathroom! I also finished the friendship quilt that we did as young womens group. I have never done a quilt like this all by myself and I am pretty excited that it turned out good! Now that I have practiced on that quilt I can start with Chandler's for his bed.
