I love the 4th of July!
Thursday we headed to Utah for all the fun and festivities and this is how my kids sleep on the way in the car (they are under their blankets).
The boys spent time in the pool Thursday and Friday morning. We just can't get enough. Mom went to a baby apt. All is well and getting bigger on the baby front. Only 7 weeks to go, then I hope he starts me!
Every year Reed has to show he can still jump off the roof into the pool. The boys wanted to know how he got up there. "Ha" Reed laughs, "Someday when you are much, much older I will show you the secret."

Then Friday we were off before all the traffic to Mt. Pleasant. Maybe that's why I LOVE the 4th cuz we get to spend it in a small COUNTRY town! It is the best and we did sooooo much. Friday night we hit the Rodeo which Grandpa helps with every year! He got the boys signed up this year to participate! Chandler wanted to do the Muttin' Bustin' which is riding a sheep for little kids like riding a bull for the big boys. I really didn't think that he would go through with it but... HE DID! I will have to try and post the video latter. He did a really good job but fell off and hurt his wrist and cried. He probably wont do that again.
Deegy actually went out with other kids his age and tried to catch a greased piggy. If you catch the pig you win $25. He didn't win but fell down in the dirt a couple of times. But I think that he had fun. I will post that video too!
Saturday we went up into the beautiful mountains and took the boys fishing all afternoon. It was hot and we got a little sunburned but this time we DID actually catch some fish. Ok, I caught fish. Out of the 3 fish we caught I got 2 and Chandler got the other one. I don't know why but for some reason the fish always like my pole. Chandler did so good he saw that the pole was moving and so he picked it up and started reeling it in.
Grandpa and Dad did all the hard work putting on the bait and hooks. Taking off all the fish and gutting them. The boys played and had fun. They have been talking about fishing all summer so we were happy with our catch.
Saturday night they had some drag races over in Moroni and Kason our nephew got to be in it so we all went over to watch. It was so funny cuz he is just younger than Chandler but he did really good and won. He was pretty excited.
Sunday night we did all of our fun fireworks with my sister Kristy and her family plus their friends. Also it has been a tradition for the neighbors the Dyches to come over and blow things up with us. These boys are crazy when it comes to blowing things up but they have so much fun. We really missed Tyler and thought of him during all the fun! Love ya bro :)
Every 4th of July morning at 6:00 a.m. the city sets off canons above the town and the fire siren off to wake everyone up. It is really loud and my parents live 1/2 a block away from the fire station but my boys didn't even flinch when they went off. We wake up and go to the park for a big yummy breakfast. Afterwards is the parade.
Latter we went back to the park and watched some mud volleyball, ate yummy food, looked at all the mountain man stuff and booths then the boys played at the carnival.
After a good nap the boys went riding grandpa's horses all by themselves.

And Reed went with the guys shooting and rabbit hunting but came back stinking like SKUNK! Yep they didn't find many rabbits but they found a couple of skunks which was eventful. Let's just say they had to take off all their clothes before coming into the house and jump in the shower right away. All the clothes stayed outside in bags and Reeds shoes still stink we might have to throw them away cuz it's just not that easy to get the smell out!

A great way to end the weekend is relaxing and watching the beautiful fireworks.
Happy 4th of July!

If You soak the shoes and clothes in Tomato sauce the smell will come out. If the boys still smell a little, then soak them too!
What a fun week!!!!

WOW! You guys really packed it in! I wish we were headed to Ft. Green for Lamb Day this year. You can't beat a small town party!
