Summer Musts

Last week was a little busy. Wednesday I ran to Utah with the boys for a baby appointment. The boys played in the swim pool for the 1st time this summer and loved it. I think they were in there for about 3 hours until dark. Thanks to G&G for watching them while I ran around trying to get things done. They love swimming and it is a must in the summer. We will be back lots this summer!
Baby appointment was on Thursday morning and we ran around a little more then headed home that afternoon. Baby update is everything is going great baby is up to about 3 lbs and we are continuing the count down.

Camping is a summer must but since I am nearing the end we needed to go right away. This year we tried another new place near Lander, WY up by the Sinks Canyon in the Wind River Mountain Range. We were worried about how cold it has been and so much snow but it turned out perfect! We invited Grandpa Daniels to come with us and the boys just loved spending time with him.

The Sinks is where the river sinks down through the mountain and comes out about half mile down the road. So we stopped to see.
This is where the water comes back out of the mountain. There are also some huge trout that stick around this pond and visitors feed them. I couldn't get a good enough pic to show the fish but they were really big!

The first day we got there the boys found some black ashes and got it all over there face. Just breaking them in for the rest of the trip.

We found the best camp site!

Cooking yummy food and chillin' by the fire is the best!

The boys playing in the wilderness. This trip we only ended up finding 5 ticks. Luckily none were attached but we were very consistent about searching every morning and night for them and spraying soooo much bug spray. Infact I made Reed go back to town for more spray cuz we went through 2 1/2 cans. Just a warning for everyone going out in the wilderness this year, we didn't have any problems with mosquitoes just the ticks which I totally hate. I would rather fight the mosquitoes then the ticks.

Reed out cold with a little black on his face too. he he he

pretty flowers and a raging river

Deegy and his bugs. Every little bug he wanted to pick up and keep. He found all these little caterpillars around and just would hold them and name them. He is so funny.

On Saturday we hiked up to the waterfalls above the river. It was only about a mile and a half hike but it took us a long time cuz I was soooo slow. Reed said I was slower then Deegy (not a compliment) lets just say it really wasn't a hard hike but I probably shouldn't have gone. Oh well I made it and it was beautiful. Here are a couple pics on the way.

The waterfalls and all of us.

Grandpa and the boys.
When we got back we had a nap cuz my feet hurt so bad and my hands were swollen. When Reed went back to town I had him grab me some Tylenol too.

Reed telling a scary story around the camp fire.

Sunday morning it looked like it was going to rain so we packed it up quickly. On the way home we stopped and got ice cream in Farson. We made it back for church and had steak for Father's Day dinner. Thanks Grandpa for coming with us.
We love the Fathers, Husbands, and other men in our lives and are so thankful for them. They have worked and sacrificed so much for us and we love them for that! Hope you all had a great Father's Day.
